What this is

A study aid for nursing students, free to use apart from the AI tutor, which is part of an optional Pro plan: reference pages, practice questions and tools for nursing school and the NCLEX-RN. This site is run by one person, not a company. It is for people 18 and older. This page was last changed on October 9, 2026; when it changes, that date changes.

It is not clinical guidance and not a substitute for your instructor, your preceptor, the drug label or facility policy. Never make a decision about a real patient from this app alone.

Before using the site you confirm that you have read a short version of this. That confirmation is saved with your progress (on this device, and in your account when you are signed in), so you are asked again only on a new device before you sign in, or if this notice changes.

The content was written with an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) and checked by separate AI review passes, some of them against published sources, and by the app's creator. It has not been reviewed by a licensed nurse or a nurse educator. Five skill illustrations (injections, NG tube insertion, wound care, 12-lead ECG and peripheral IV) were drawn with a different AI tool and were checked only against this app's own skill text, not against outside sources. The rest of the site's pages and code were also built with the help of AI tools. The Sources page says what review each part had and what to check it against.

Practice questions here are original study items. They are not NCLEX items and no score here predicts an exam result.

The AI tutor

The tutor is part of JRNS Pro, a paid subscription (its terms are in the JRNS Pro subscription section of the Terms of use). The server answers only accounts that have Pro - you can subscribe on the Account page, or enter a code you were given - and every other account is told so, with nothing sent to Anthropic.

Do not put anything that identifies a real patient into a question, or into any page where you use Ask or Teach it back: they send what is typed on the page. Ask is switched off, and nothing is sent, on the report sheet, Clinical prep, the clinical journal, the Account page and the leaderboard, and while a timed test, a check-off, a Rounds room, the readiness check, a shift question or a practice exam is open. The tutor is built to decline questions about a real person's care; do not use an answer to decide a real patient's care. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (US) or call 911 - the tutor is an AI and is not the place for that, though it will point you there.

Answers are generated by an AI model and can be wrong. Check anything that matters against your course materials or the drug label.

JRNS Pro subscription

What you are buying: JRNS Pro adds the AI tutor (Ask, and Teach it back) to your account. Everything else on JRNS stays free, whether or not you subscribe.

The tutor is an AI model, Anthropic's Claude. It can be wrong. It is not a nurse, an instructor or medical advice, and nothing it says should decide a real patient's care.

Price and renewal: the price of each plan is shown on the Account page and on the Pricing page before you pay, and again on Stripe's payment page. Prices are in US dollars, and sales tax is added where it applies. A subscription renews automatically at the same price - every month, every four months or every year, depending on the plan you chose - until you cancel.

Cancel any time: open Account, then Manage subscription, and cancel there. Pro stays on until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not charged again.

Refunds: if you write to JRNSDeck@outlook.com within 7 days of a charge, you get a full refund of that charge. After that, a period that has already been paid for is not refunded. Any refund rights the law gives you are not affected.

Price changes: you will be told on the Account page and the Pricing page at least 30 days before a renewal at a new price, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Fair use: Pro includes up to 30 tutor questions a day for each account, and the count resets at midnight UTC. Sharing an account, or using a program or script to drive the tutor, can end your Pro access.

If a payment fails: Pro pauses after a short grace period and comes back when a payment succeeds. Nothing you saved is lost.

Deleting your account cancels your subscription at once, and no further payment is taken.

You must be 18 or older to subscribe.

Terms of use

Most of this site is free (the AI tutor is part of Pro) and all of it is provided as it is, with no promise that it is accurate, complete, or available at any given time. It is a study aid only: it does not give medical, nursing or legal advice, and it is not a substitute for your program, your instructors, or a licensed professional.

Pro access can be added, changed or ended by the person who runs the site, for example when the days on a code run out or a subscription ends; the free parts of the site stay free. The terms of the Pro subscription are in the section called JRNS Pro subscription.

You use it at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, the person who runs it is not liable for decisions made from it, for exam results, or for lost data. The site can be changed, limited or shut down at any time - export a backup from Settings if your progress matters to you.

The career, pay and cost-of-living pages are general background drawn from public sources and can be out of date. They are not an offer or a promise of any job, salary or result, and no score here predicts an exam result or shows that you are competent to practice.

Use it for your own study. Do not try to break it, overload it or get at anyone else's account, or use the tutor for anything other than nursing study. An account used that way can be closed, and the tutor has daily limits for everyone. Do not edit your saved data to change a leaderboard count; the person who runs the site can take an account off the leaderboard or keep it off.

One account per person; keep your password and recovery code to yourself. You must be 18 or older to make an account.

The questions and pages are for your own study and may not be copied into another product or sold.

By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the handling of data described in the privacy policy. If they change in a way that matters, the date at the top of the page changes.
